Context

The foundation document that teaches AI models to sound unmistakably you.

You walk away with: Voice Charter

The voice-first question

Can the model recite our "who + why" in 25 on-brand words?

If your AI can't nail your brand essence in one sentence, every other prompt will sound generic. Context is your foundation.

Why Context comes first

Think of Context like scouting the beach before planting your umbrella. You need to understand the landscape (your market position, competitive environment, and cultural context) before you can establish your unique voice position.

Without clear Context, AI tools default to vanilla corporate speak because they don't know who you are or why you exist. Your Voice Charter becomes the GPS that guides every AI interaction.

How to build your Voice Charter

The Voice Charter is the foundational document that defines your "who + why" so AI models can recite it consistently. It has four parts. Use the Voice Charter Template to fill in your own version as you read.

1. Brand essence (25 words)

Your core "who + why" distilled to its purest form. This becomes the opening line in every AI prompt to establish voice context.

Example: "We're the Miami-spirited AI brand strategists who help SaaS companies turn scrambled copy into voice-ready prompts that sound unmistakably authentic."

2. Market position

Where you sit in the competitive landscape and what makes you different. This helps AI understand your unique angle.

Example: "Unlike traditional brand consultants who ignore AI, we're built specifically for the voice-first, AI-powered content era."

3. Cultural context

The cultural influences and authentic elements that color your voice. What makes you sound like you, not like everyone else.

Example: "Born from Miami's diverse energy, we celebrate authentic personality over vanilla corporate speak, bringing sabor to systematic strategy."

4. Voice principles

Three to five core principles that guide how you communicate. These become the rules AI follows in every piece of content.

Example:

  • Always helpful, never pushy
  • Transparent about AI use
  • Practical over theoretical
  • Miami warmth with business smarts

How to implement Context

A three-week process to build your Voice Charter and integrate it into AI workflows.

Week 1: Voice discovery

Goal: draft Voice Charter.

  • Conduct a brand story excavation session
  • Analyze 5 competitor voice profiles
  • Interview 3 team members about brand personality
  • Review existing content for voice patterns

Week 2: Team alignment

Goal: strong team score on a voice quiz.

  • Present the Voice Charter to the full team
  • Run a "sounds-like-us" quiz with content samples
  • Refine the charter based on team feedback
  • Create a voice quick-reference card

Week 3: AI integration

Goal: AI outputs pass the voice check.

  • Create an AI-readable Voice Charter format
  • Test the charter with 3 different AI tools
  • Build your first 5 voice-guided prompts
  • Document what works vs. what doesn't

What you walk away with

A Voice Charter your whole team and your AI tools can recite. With clear context, AI tools need fewer iterations to hit the right voice, first drafts actually sound like your brand, and the "this doesn't sound like us" editing cycles fade because the model knows who it's writing for. Want the whole system built for you? The Voice Sprint starts here and builds all eight pillars.
