The same voice does not mean the same post everywhere. Your LinkedIn self and your TikTok self are the same person at different tables: one is talking shop with peers, one is talking fast to strangers. The personality holds; the delivery shifts. This pack gives you the per-platform settings, the prompts, and the pre-post check, and it builds on the Experience pillar. For a broader set of channels beyond social, see the Channel-Switch Prompt Guide.
Every prompt below has fill-in slots. [CHARTER] means paste your 25-word Voice Charter. [JSON] means paste your Brand Voice JSON if you have one; if not, paste your banned words and two approved phrases.
Per-platform voice settings

| Opens with | A specific scenario, number, or claim. Never "I've been thinking about..." |
| Formality shift | +1 from your baseline, no more |
| Structure | One idea, one small proof, one question or CTA |
| Never | Engagement-bait polls, "Agree?", broetry one-word lines |
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Length | Caption under 125 words; first line does the work before "more" |
| Opens with | The most concrete sentence in the piece |
| Formality shift | -2 from baseline, most conversational version of you |
| Structure | Hook line, 2 to 3 short beats, soft CTA |
| Never | Caption essays that restate the image, hashtag walls in the caption body |
X
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Length | One idea per post. Threads only when each post stands alone |
| Opens with | The conclusion, not the setup |
| Formality shift | -2 from baseline, punchiest version of you |
| Structure | Claim, then the one detail that earns it |
| Never | Thread-emoji theatrics, hot takes you wouldn't defend on a call |
TikTok (script)
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Length | 60 to 90 seconds of script, roughly 150 to 220 spoken words |
| Opens with | The payoff promised in the first 2 seconds |
| Formality shift | -3 from baseline, spoken language only, contractions everywhere |
| Structure | Hook, one worked example, one takeaway, verbal CTA |
| Never | Reading a LinkedIn post to camera |
The 8 prompts
1. LinkedIn insight post
You write in this voice: [CHARTER]. Follow these rules: [JSON]. Write a LinkedIn post (100-200 words) about [TOPIC]. Open with a specific scenario or number, not a general statement. One idea only. End with a genuine question, not engagement bait. Short paragraphs.
2. LinkedIn story post
Voice: [CHARTER]. Rules: [JSON]. Write a LinkedIn post telling this true story: [3-4 BULLET FACTS OF WHAT HAPPENED]. Keep every fact accurate, add nothing invented. The lesson comes last and stays under two sentences.
3. Instagram caption
Voice: [CHARTER]. Rules: [JSON]. Write an Instagram caption (under 125 words) for a post about [TOPIC]. First line must work standing alone. Conversational, contractions, no hashtags in the body. End with: [YOUR SOFT CTA].
4. X single post
Voice: [CHARTER]. Rules: [JSON]. Write 3 versions of a single X post about [TOPIC]. Lead with the conclusion. One idea each. No threads, no emoji, no hashtags. Rank them by which sounds most like the charter and tell me why.
5. X thread
Voice: [CHARTER]. Rules: [JSON]. Turn this piece into an X thread of 5 posts max: [PASTE CONTENT]. Each post must stand alone. First post states the payoff. No numbering theatrics, no "let me explain."
6. TikTok script
Voice: [CHARTER]. Rules: [JSON]. Write a 75-second TikTok script about [TOPIC]. Spoken language only: read it out loud in your head. First 2 seconds state the payoff. Include one concrete worked example. Mark [PAUSE] where a beat lands. End with: [YOUR VERBAL CTA].
7. Cross-post adapter
Voice: [CHARTER]. Rules: [JSON]. Here is a post that worked on [PLATFORM A]: [PASTE]. Recast it for [PLATFORM B] using these platform rules: [PASTE THE SETTINGS TABLE ROW]. Keep the core idea and my phrasing where it survives the format. Do not summarize; recast.
8. Comment and reply voice
Voice: [CHARTER]. Rules: [JSON]. Draft 3 reply options to this comment: [PASTE COMMENT]. One warm and brief, one that adds a genuinely useful detail, one that politely disagrees. All under 40 words. No "Great point!"
Hook patterns that preserve voice
Hooks go generic before anything else does. These patterns carry a hook without flattening you. Fill the brackets with your specifics.
- The specific number: "[X] of the last [Y] [things] I reviewed made the same mistake."
- The scene: "A client asked me [real question] this week. Here's what I told them."
- The received wisdom, challenged with evidence: "Everyone says [common advice]. I tried it for [timeframe]. Here's what actually happened."
- The confession: "I got [specific thing] wrong for [timeframe]. The fix took [short time]."
- The direct address: "If you [specific situation], the next [X words/seconds] will save you [specific cost]."
The pre-post check: does this sound like us?
Thirty seconds before publishing, five questions. Two or more failures, revise before posting.
- Read the first line out loud. Would you say it to a person?
- Search the draft for your banned words. Any hit fails.
- Is there one concrete detail (number, name, scenario)? Zero fails.
- Cover the name on the post. Could a follower guess it's you? Honest answer.
- Does the CTA match your CTA style, or did the platform's default pushiness leak in?
Log any repeat failure in your prompt library. If question 2 keeps failing, the banned list belongs in the prompt, not just the check.
